Role: Senior Industrial Designer at Smart Design

Challenge: Make barista-level coffee accessible to everyone through the push of a button.

Story: Introducing … a coffee maker that only OXO could produce. Every design detail was poured over, no coffee pun intended. Imagine: a coffee grinder with conical burr. (“What’s a conical burr?” you ask? Trust me that it’s magic.) Imagine: a 7-hole shower head that evenly saturates the beans. Imagine: a pulsing vibration during the brew that you never knew you needed until you take the first sip. And a single-button, intuitive interface that puts those complicated espresso machines to shame. Wired and NYMag approved.
